Allegory and the Sneeches
Allegory is the representation of a fictional or abstract idea that is conveyed through way of a story, poem or any other type of writing art. The Sneeches are a fictional creature with or without stars on their chests and the Sneeches with stars think they are way better than the Sneeches without stars.

Big Question
My big question for "Interview With a Vampire" was; what are the benefits and downsides of becoming a vampire? Some benefits of becoming a vampire are, you are super fast, and super strong. Your hearing and sight are immensly improved. Some of the downsides of becoming a vampire are that you have to kill every night to stay alive, you cant die of natural causes, so you stay the same age forever. Another bad thing is that you have to get bitten by a vampire and then drink that vampires blood to become a vampire. I don't know about you but that sounds pretty disturbing. You can't be in the sunlight or you die and you also have to sleep in a coffiin every night so that the sunlight doesn't hit you while you are sleeping. I guess that the bad outweighs the good for me. But I think that it would be amazing to have all of your senses hightend to the extreme, and being really strong and really fast would be pretty cool too. If you didn't have to kill something every night I would definatly become a vampire. That would be really cool. The worst thing about being a vampire is being immortal, that would be really boring and very sad, you would get to know people and then have to watch them die eventually. Unless you became friends with just vampires. By nature vampires are very solitary creatures, so I guess it wouldn't matter that people always die while you stay alive.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
This poem has a lot of romanticism in it. Imagination has to do with things that happen in your mind and not in real life. The mariner imagined many spirits were sending his messages and were also punishing him, this was all in his imagination. There was no reason behind his beliefs and he believed in fantasy over believing in reason. Intuition has to do with knowing what comes next, or thinking you know what is going to happen next. His intuition tells him that he is not going to die because the spirits have cursed him to live while all of his crew dies. Reason would have us believe that he would die just like the rest of his crew, but his intuition tells him differently. The mariner was inspired in a way by the albatross, it inspired imagination in the mariners mind.

Interview with the Vampire
So far in this book, a boy is interviewing a vampire who is telling him his life story. He has told him about how he became a vampire and his first kill. The vampire didn't really have a choice to become a vampire, he said that once he was presented the option, he could not choose anything else. To become a vampire he had to have his blood sucked to the point of death by a vampire and then suck that vampire's blood. Then he had to make his first kill. His master and him went to a slave camp to kill one of the slaves. the vampire sucked his blood until he died. His transformation into a vampire was complete. He now enjoyed the benefits of being a vampire now, even though it had drawbacks.
